Happy 26th Anniversary to Mom and Dad, Happy 42nd Anniversary to Brian and Rosemary, Happy Birthday to Chris & Julia!
This Month’s News…
We have some sad news to report. Pop-Pop’s cousin Ron passed away on the 22nd of this month. Our fond memories of him will live on and we know he will be with us in spirit as the family gathers on the First Saturday of August each year.
Mom and Dad had a busy month:
- They made visits to Owen at CNU in Newport News, VA and Ross at WVU in Morgantown, WV. While in Morgantown, they went to a WVU football game.
- They attended the MOSAIC Virginia 25th Anniversary Gala this month. Mom is a former MOSAIC employee. During her time there she was a major contributor to the planning and execution of the yearly galas.
- They went on a “Pub Crawl” here in Leesburg.
We had a great Thanksgiving with, as usual, way too much food, including our traditional fried turkey. Needless to say, we had an ample supply of gobbler meat again this year.
The other holiday this month (Veteran’s Day) honors all who served in the military. Pop-Pop says Veteran’s Day was originally called Armistice Day. He also said many others in our family past and present served or are currently serving in the US Armed Forces. You can read more about two who served in the past here and here.
