Happy Birthday to Brian J, Brian M, Dave and Ethan
Pitt and WVU engaged in a classic Backyard Brawl at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown this month. WVU came out on top this time (17-6) much to the joy of Pop-Pop’s BFF Pat and others at the “Office.”
This Month’s News…
Here’s all the news that’s fit to print for this month and some which probably isn’t. 😉
Summer must be over…The Autumnal Tree has appeared! It will eventually morph into one of our numerous Christmas Trees during the holiday season. Various other signs of the season have also appeared.

The Pyrex Collection is still growing. A new cabinet filled with Pyrex and other vintage glassware has appeared. And the grandfather clock in the dining room has been replaced by a bookshelf desk filled with Pyrex.
The German Armed Forces Command holds an Oktoberfest every year in their hanger at Dulles International Airport. An abundance of German beer is flown in for the event. There is also an endless supply of bratwurst, sauerkraut and many other German delicacies. It happened on Thursday, September 21 this year and Mom and Dad were there.
One Oktoberfest down, on to the next one! Mom and Dad did this one on Friday, September 22.

Pop-Pop’s Omega watch broke this month after only 57 years of service. Believe it or not, the only maintenance performed on the watch over the years was replacement of scratched crystals! He replaced it with a plastic fantastic Timex EXPEDITION, which was no doubt orders of magnitude less expensive than the anticipated cost of repairing the Omega.
Labor Day has come and gone, so tradition says the pool must be closed. It was winterized and closed on September 22.
This summer has been a hot one.
Hope this is its final goodbye!
