May 2017

Happy Birthday to Lucy, Rosemary, Fred, Meredith, and Jason

This Month’s News…
  • Owen actually took time out from his gaming to go to the Prom!
  • Ross completed his sophomore year at WVU and is back working his summer job at the local Jimmy-John’s.
  • Mom and Dad spent a few days at their timeshare in the Shenandoah Valley.  While there they did some fly fishing and, best of all, returned home with a supply of fresh-from-the-factory Route 11 Potato Chips.
  • Piggy got a new doggy bed.
  • Julia graduated from Nursery School!
  • It took them two overtime periods but the The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 in game seven of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals for the second straight year!

April 2017

Happy Birthday to Bethany and Sarah Jane

The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year. Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed. — Mark Twain

Ross couldn’t make it home for Easter and the annual “Hamfest.”  Mom and Dad made a quick post-holiday trip to Morgantown and took him out to dinner.  They also made a side-trip to nearby Pennsylvania to visit with Mom’s Aunt Janet.

Owen is back working his lifeguard job on a part-time basis.  He’ll be getting more hours once the outdoor pool opens and school is out for the summer.

March 2017

Happy Birthday to Ross, Pop-Pop, Gina, Jill in Florida, Ryan in China, and Pop-Pop’s friend Pat in Morgantown!

Ross spent most of his Spring Break having fun in the sun and whatever in Panama City, FL.  He did, however, make it back home in time for the big birthday celebration.

Pop-Pop gave himself a recumbent exercise bike as a birthday present.  His rationale for this acquisition was that his knees can’t take the pounding on the treadmill anymore.  We think he was bored and wanted a shiny new toy to play with.

We had the biggest “snow storm” of the winter this month.  We got about five inches of snow.  This resulted in the schools closing for two days.  Owen took advantage of this break to hone his gaming skills.
