May Day, Cinco de Mayo, the Prom, a Race, and Memorial Day
To say this month’s news is a bit late might be a bit of an understatement. But it’s not our fault! We are the “Creatives” but we depend on our IT guy to get it out on the Internet for all to see in a timely fashion. This month he dropped the ball. He came up with some lame excuse about selling a house and moving but the fact remains that he let us down. Rest assured that he will be severely chastised for this screw-up.
Ross went to the THS Prom this month. His date was a girl he has known since his toddler days. And Mom has been a friend of her Mom since their toddler days. And our Granny and her Granny have known each other since way back in the last century.
The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year. Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed. — Mark Twain
Ross began his career in the food service industry this month. He now has a part-time job at Jimmy John’s, purveyor of fine gourmet sandwiches. He has also been on a couple of “College Tours” this spring. As a result, it has finally occurred to him that it is the college that decides to accept him as opposed to him honoring the college with his presence.
Owen has been quite busy training to become a World-Class Gamer and coming up with creative explanations about why he did not do the chores assigned to him on the household to-do list.
Pop-Pop and Granny are in the process of selling their house. Once the house is sold, they are planning on moving in with us for a while. Pop-Pop always said they were going to move into our basement and become a burden on us in their old age. Guess he really meant it!!
This picture was taken during Ross's latest college selection tour. We visited Radford, Virginia Tech and James Madison during this trip.

Pop-Pop found these guys hiding under his basement stairway. He said they had been hing there for the better part of 20 years.
