Tis the Season!!

We had a White Christmas this year.  There was a big storm on the 19th that left 20 or more inches on the ground.  The last time we had a White Christmas was in 2002 with about 2 inches on the ground.

Santa was really good to us this year.  Ross was upset because Santa didn’t bring a wireless network adapter for his new Xbox 360, but he’ll get over it.  We got plenty of other stuff to keep us entertained for a while.

Happy 16th Anniversary to Mom and Dad!

We spent the first weekend of the month visiting our cousins in Florida.  One of the highlights of our visit was a trip to in Key Largo.  We didn’t cross paths with McCloud and Rocco, but we did go scuba diving while we were there.

While we were in Florida, Captain stayed at Granny and Pop-Pop’s house.  He had a good time playing with Gunston and Piggy.

We had a full house for Thanksgiving.  Granny, Pop-Pop, Grandpap Olaf, Aunt Janet, and Uncle Bud were there, as was a friend of Mom’s.  Cappy had lots of company too.  The Grand-dogs Gunston and Piggy were there along with Cappy’s friend Buttons.  We had two turkeys, one roasted and one fried.  Both were really tasty.

The day after Thanskgiving, we went on a field trip to Harpers Ferry, WV.  While there, we went on one of their famous “Ghost Tours.”

Happy Birthday Mom!

Fillet of a fenny snake, in the cauldron boil and bake: eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog, adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting, lizard’s leg and howler’s wing, for a charm of pow’rful trouble, like a hell-broth boil and bubble. — Second Witch, “Macbeth,” IV:1

Get the candy ready!  We can’t wait to go Trick or Treating.

October is Mom’s favorite month.  She really likes this time of year and always decorates the house and yard with stuff that has an “Autumnal” theme, which of course includes lots of Halloween decorations.

We had visitors this month.  Uncle Barry, Aunt Lucy, Uncle Brian, Aunt Rosemary, Aunt Janet, Granny and Pop-Pop were all here during the first weekend of the month.  We also had four dogs running amok: Captain, Gunston, Piggy and one named Buttons who Mom was dog-sitting for a friend.  Ross said we were having a “Dog-a-Palooza.”

Mom, Granny and all the Aunts went to the Waterford Fair.  Pop-Pop and the Uncles watched football games and drank lots of beer.  We all went out to dinner at Red, Hot and Blue one night and had pizza at Giovanni’s the next night.
