World Trade Center, Pentagon, Shanksville…This month’s page is dedicated to the victims and the heroes of September 11, 2001

During the last week of our summer vacation, we went on a field trip to see the Natural Bridge of Virginia.  It was really impressive.

We went back to school the Tuesday after Labor Day.  When we left the house to get on the school buses that day, our dog Cappy was really sad.  Now we have to get used to getting up early, doing homework, going to bed early, and that other stuff that we have to do until next spring.

See you next month...

On the first Saturday of the month, we attended the annual family reunion at the Mon Valley YMCA in Carroll Township, PA.  We enjoyed seeing all of our aunts and uncles, and our cousin Austin, who lives near St. Louis, MO.

Summer is almost over so Mom and Dad will be closing down the pool next month and we will be heading back to school next month.  I will be in seventh grade this year and Owen will be in fourth grade.

See you next month…

July 2009

Happy Birthday to Dad, Tai Shan and the USA!

rossowen090711We had some house guests this month.  Gunny and Piggy (aka the Terrible Terriers) came to stay with us for a few days while Granny and Pop-Pop went on their annual trip to the Jamboree in the Hills.

On our way to the annual Family Reunion, we took a field trip to Pittsburgh, PA.

While there, we went to the Carnegie Science Center to see their roboworld exhibit.  It was really neat to see all the different things robot can do.

We also went on a Duck Tour.  We wondered why the vehicles were called Ducks until Pop-Pop told us about this and now we know!

And we also took a ride on the Monongahela Incline.  The view of Pittsburgh from the Incline Station at the top of Mt. Washington is really impressive.

See you next month...
